VR 4 Labor

The system has been designed and implemented to test the applicability of VR as an analgesia technique in the early stages of labour. The approach adopted involves administering an immersive virtual scenario that, thanks to biofeedback, is adaptive to the level of pain perceived by the patients. The use of VR thus designed does not act solely as a distractive element but rather as a valuable tool to understand and manage perceived pain by focusing on the ultimate goal, birth. The system is non-invasive for the patient and allows the medical team to monitor all activities on video.
