Holly

A prototype of a cognitive tutor, capable of answering questions about complex phenomena, reacting to the interlocutor’s movements, and understanding the context of a conversation. More in detail, through a holographic display, the system displays three-dimensional reconstructions of complex structures of the human body, which users can manipulate through gestural commands. Furthermore, through a conversational interface, the system can understand the user’s questions asked in natural language and respond by starting a dialogue with the interlocutor, keeping track of the context of the conversation. The system was presented at the scientific event “Futuro Remoto” held in Naples, Italy, in Piazza Plebiscito, from 25 to 28 May 2017.
