Robotic Hologram

The system allows users to view interactively holograms recorded on a holographic plate. In this specific case, on a single 60x50cm plate, five pages of the book “Avanzi delle antichità esistenti a Pozzuoli Cuma e Baja di Paolo Antonio Paoli (1768)” were recorded. The system features a gesture-controlled robotic arm with three lamps mounted on it. By moving the robotic arm, the user can control the light source and observe the five different holograms recorded on the plate. This demonstrator was installed inside the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) during the “Campi Flegrei – Oltre il Visibile” exhibition, from 27 July to 10 November 2016.
