abstract = {We introduce the Voice Interactive Virtual Reality Annotation (VIVRA), an application that employs Large Language Models to facilitate brainstorming and idea exploration in an immersive 3D environment. As users think aloud to brainstorm and ideate, the application automatically detects, summarizes, suggests, and connects their ideas in real time. The experience brings participants into a room where their ideas emerge as interactive objects that embody the topics detected from their ideas. We evaluated the effectiveness of VIVRA in an exploratory study with 29 participants, followed by a user study with 10 participants comparing the application with other visualizations. Our results show that VIVRA helped participants reflect and think more about their ideas, serving as a valuable tool for personal exploration. We discuss the potential benefits and applications, highlighting the benefits of combining immersive 3D spaces and LLMs to explore, learn, and reflect on ideas. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).},

abstract = {Fostering creativity is paramount for cultivating innovative minds capable of addressing complex challenges. Modern technologies like eXtended Reality (XR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) may nurture grounds supporting creative thinking by providing immersive and manipulable environments. An open research question is how such technologies may best lead to such a possible result. To help move one step closer to an answer, we present a portable XR platform, namely CreAIXR, where objects may be creatively defined and manipulated with AI paradigms. CreAIXR leverages web technologies, XR, and generative AI where creatives are immersed in a composable experience, allowing them to collaborate and customize an immersive environment through XR paradigms and generative AI. We here describe this system along with its validation through experiments carried out with a group of individuals having a background in the field of visual arts. © 2024 IEEE.},

abstract = {Today, the Metaverse consists of various platforms, including digital twins of the physical world as well as virtual and blended digital-material environments that offer immersive experiences for individual users. By going beyond solely physical or virtual realms, these platforms unlock new possibilities for exploration, experimentation, and interaction. This makes it possible to transcend the limitations of innovation processes confined to physical locations, so the Metaverse is thus poised to drive groundbreaking innovations. This article explores the Metaverse as an innovation platform, its opportunities and challenges, including the role of generative AI in it. It discusses how the Metaverse, as a collaboration, creativity, and technological platform, supports innovation potential. By embracing the possibilities and challenges offered by the Metaverse and leveraging the capabilities of generative AI within it, a future in which individuals can truly explore novel synergies between the physical and digital realms, thriving various kinds of innovations. It is crucial to achieve holistic sustainability impacts both within the Metaverse innovation platform and as its outputs. © 2024 China Science Publishing & Media Ltd},
